Cider with Rosie is the 1959 book by Laurie Lee adapted for the stage by
James Roose-Evans.
The story is a charming and poignant autobiographical account of Lee's childhood
in a secluded Cotswold village in the period following the First World War. It chronicles the traditional
village life and the experience of childhood as remembered from many years later.
We held a Theatre Supper Night in September 2009. Two short 1 Act plays were performed:
Kathy Morris directed a scene from Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw.
Anna Holmes directed
a comedy - Knightsbridge by John Mortimer.
