Thameswey
Players - The Thameswey Players have been “acting” for over 50 years in various guises. They started
out in 1947 as the Post Office & Sports & Social Club Drama Section & stayed affiliated to BT during the privatisation.
Later, they changed their name to the Busby Players, whilst still based in Guildford, & some of the past members even
helped out on some of the adverts!! In 1989 they became the Thameswey Players Amateur Dramatic Society, (as the local Division
for BT is situated around the Thames & Wey Rivers). This last name change coincided with the move to Aldershot, and opening
